Leather Crafting

This is a six-week course in which students will work with specific tools and different types of leather to create wearable pieces of leather craft. Students will start with the classic ring belt, followed by a cinching coin purse. Then move on to a standard pouch that can be worn on a belt or put on a strap and worn as a purse. Students will then move on to forming leather, bring in your favorite garden/work tools, i.e. a Hori-Hori, garden clippers or sheers, and make a custom sheath. The last week will be focusing on making a custom knife sheath, perfect for your Oaks Bottom Forge knife you made in knife building class or your favorite knife from home, specifically for fixed blade knives. Class meets once a week for seven consecutive weeks.

(These are the start dates for the classes. They run 4-7 consecutive weeks (depending on the class) on the weekday listed)
